Understanding Direct Billing for RMT in Ontario
Direct billing is one of the most requested features at Victoria Park Spa & Wellness Centre. If you have extended health benefits, direct billing allows us to submit your massage therapy claim directly to your insurer on your behalf, so you only pay the remaining balance.
How Direct Billing Works
When you come in for your registered massage therapy appointment, simply provide our front desk with your insurance details. After your session, we submit the claim electronically. If your insurer covers 80% of the session, for instance, you only pay the remaining 20% out of pocket before you leave.
Insurers We Work With
We support direct billing for most major Canadian insurance providers, including:
- Sun Life
- Manulife
- Canada Life
- Blue Cross
- Green Shield
- Desjardins
What You Need For Your First Visit
If you're planning to use direct billing, please bring:
- Your insurance policy number and member ID (usually found on your benefits card).
- A piece of government-issued photo ID.
- If your insurer requires a doctor's note for massage therapy, please ensure you have submitted it to your provider beforehand.
CMTO Registered Therapists
Remember that all massage therapy at Victoria Park Spa & Wellness Centre is provided by Registered Massage Therapists (RMTs) in good standing with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO). This is a requirement for your insurance claim to be valid.
